In 2020 Crave Athletics were a newly establishing cheerleading gym. Our clients had a dream of establishing a successful cheerleading facility, operating throughout the week. They needed a premises but were having trouble finding one that was in the right location and the right size. Our clients found a site, but it wasn’t in a zone that permitted these types of activities. They needed a resource consent to get their new business venture off the ground.
After discussing the project and listening to Crave’s business goals, we had a clear understanding of what they wanted to achieve, and their very tight timeframes! Lodging a thorough resource consent application that pre-empted the Council’s questions was paramount to being able to meet their new lease deadlines. Knowing the questions the Council would have and the information they’d want was critical- our 35 years of application processing meant we identified this upfront, provided the assessment needed and prepared a thorough resource consent application. We also used this experience to manage the process for our clients, freeing up their time to work on other aspects of the new business, and removing an often-stressful process from them.
The application was processed in less than 20 working days, with few questions from Council staff. With resource consent in hand, our delighted client was able to confirm the lease and continue their new business journey.
Nothing says happy client more than return business, and we were pleased to help Crave again in 2023 when they’d outgrown their old premises and needed to move. This was again a time constrained process, but our clients’ deadlines were met and they’re now successfully operating from their new, bigger premises.
