Managing workloads of your team and getting the right planner with the required experience can be tough when you have no control over the number or complexity of resource consent applications made.
We’ve been processing Council resource consents since 2003 and on Auckland Council’s preferred supplier panel for over 14 years. We assist Auckland Council with all types of district and regional resource consent applications, including land use, subdivision, streamworks, earthworks, cleanfills, managed fills, landfills, stormwater and wastewater discharge applications and contamination.
It’s crucial to know your clients, their processes and expectations and being a Council consultant is no different. Through having good working relationships with all Council staff, understanding their roles and expertise, and having a thorough understanding of Auckland Council’s processes and requirements, the Planning Plus™ team essentially acts as an Auckland Council planner would from application lodgement right up until decision stage. Having multiple experienced planners on the Planning Plus™ team also means that we have the skills and capacity to “take the edge off” by managing the overflow applications, and applications where a more experienced planner is needed.
We also have over 20 years of experience with Auckland Council resource consents relating to rural development, including subdivision based on protecting or enhancing natural features and development of sites containing important features such as wetlands and watercourses.
The services we provide to Auckland Council include management of the resource consent application process, managing large, multi- disciplinary specialist teams, reporting on complex resource consent applications, attendance at Council hearings, attending Environment Court mediation, assisting the Council and legal advisors with Consent Orders and providing expert evidence for Environment Court hearings.
